You Are Welcome Here

Yoga With Mermaids welcomes everyone, especially those who feel othered or intimidated in traditional yoga spaces—trans, queer, BIPOC, neurodivergent, bigger-bodied, inflexible, or brand-new to yoga. Private classes give you the opportunity to go deep with one one-on-one guidance designed for your specific needs. This trauma-informed, non-competitive practice prioritizes mental health, injury prevention, and body awareness. Expect a friendly, slow, low-pressure, one-hour yoga class focused on alignment, form, and modifications, encouraging you to move at your own pace and build a conversation with your body. Slow-moving vinyasa can be gentle or strong, depending on your needs. A chair, blocks, bolsters, straps, and blankets can be integrated for depth and comfort. Yin yoga can be explored for a receptive approach to the poses. A restorative approach can allow the body to sink into place. Private lessons are tailored for your unique needs.

If you have cat allergies, please take precautions. This is a kitty-friendly studio!

Private Classes

With individual attention, private classes can be tailored to your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

You will be challenged if challenge is what you need, but it comes with mindfulness and awareness. This mind-body-spirit, holistic practice is the kind of yoga I love to practice, and I look forward to sharing it with you.

I have a deep understanding of hypermobility, chronic pain, and the yoga of living in aging bodies. With a one-on-one class, you can learn the modifications you need to keep yourself safe, healthy, and practicing.

Feel free to bring up to two guests with you at no extra charge.

ABOUT ME

I am devoted to the kind of slow, intentional practice that supports the nervous system. My classes weave together a gentle flow with somatic awareness to create a space where you can soften, listen inward, and move at your own pace.

I don’t teach from a place of performance or perfection. Instead, I guide students toward sensation, breath, and a felt sense of safety in the body.

My teaching is grounded in accessibility, nervous system regulation, and spacious pacing. I use props generously and offer options that meet you where you are.

Expect mindful transitions and guided awareness that help you reconnect with your body in a sustainable, compassionate way. For me, yoga is less about how a pose looks and more about how it feels. We cultivate softness, resilience, and a steady sense of inner support that you can carry with you off the mat and into everyday life.

I have an RYT 200 certification with Yoga Alliance and additional YACEP teacher training in Yin Yoga and Chair Yoga. Private classes blend styles tailored to your specific needs.
